I then slowly started to read and learn about the Miata here in the forum, thank you all who contribute to this helpful site. Engine felt in good conditions and I was pleased with the result. Made it safely, nothing to worry about the car in the highway. Right away we went for a mechanic inspection and directly to a local bank to finish the transaction, 2 or 3 hours later we were on our way to Santo Domingo, topless at 110kmh enjoying this little red guy. I took a local bus drive with my brother to meet the guy selling and three hours later I felt in love with the car, definitely it was not in the best conditions but exactly what a needed, a manual transmission Miata. Luckily with the help of a Facebook friend who found one, I bought this NA in a province around 140 Km away from Santo Domingo, back in 2013 when I just had been married to my wife for a year, needed a separate car. I spent more than a year looking for a Miata here in the DR but there were not found, anyone who owns a Miata here has no plans of selling. My 2018 has started with the right foot, my car has been delivered to the paint shop and has begun what I always wanted to accomplish, Paint Restoration.
